It was teased back in February that the former head of S.H.I.E.L.D, Nick Fury, would have a role alongside Carol Danvers in the upcoming, Captain Marvel flick.

Now, another report from a tweet by Omega Underground’s Christopher M. says that Samuel L. Jackson will be back working with his Kong: Skull Island co-star, Brie Larson, in the Marvel Studios film.

Check out the tweet below:

Looks like @SamuelLJackson will indeed be co-starring with @brielarson in #CaptainMarvel. Expected to begin shooting on January 8th in ATL. pic.twitter.com/SQyLdYZGDS

Both Danvers and Fury have military backgrounds, so the pairing between the two is one that makes sense, especially when Fury is one of the MCU mainstays and has experience with most of the MCU heroes.

It’s been a while since Samuel L. Jackson’s, Nick Fury, had a prominent role in one of the MCU films and it will be nice to see him back – maybe even serving as a kind of mentor for Carol on her road to becoming Captain Marvel.

If the report is true, would you like to see Nick Fury have a prominent role in the Captain Marvel movie? Let us know in the comment section below.

Captain Marvel is slated to his theaters on March 8, 2019.
