The Equalizermight be canceled, but that won’t stop Queen Latifah from being ready for more action. The CBS has already confirmed that the show won’t be coming back for a sixth season. The final episode of the series will be aired later this month. As a reaction to the announcement regarding The Equalizer‘s future, Queen Latifah quickly expressed her feelings on her Instagram account. Robyn McCall was a very important part of the artist’s life. Latifah will miss bringing criminals to justice as the resourceful vigilante.

The Equalizer blew past every dream we had for it, and having the opportunity to do this for five seasons honestly feels surreal. Thank you to our amazing cast, crew, and producers and writers! And I can’t say enough about the FANS! Y’all have been so loyal, so loud, and so ride-or-die—and that’s exactly why we keep doing this. We can’t thank you enough. It means the world to us. And don’t worry—I’ll be back kicking ass in something new real soon. Can’t wait to share it with you.”
What’s Next for Queen Latifah?
Queen Latifah refused to reveal more details regarding her next project. The performer became Robyn McCall for the first time back in 2021. The film series based around the same concept starring Denzel Washington was still going on back then. Both iterations of The Equalizer entertained audiences for many years, before it was time for CBS to bring this story to a close. In the breaks she had between seasons of the adaptation, Queen Latifah starred in titles such as Hustle and End of the Road. The performer is expected to reprise her role as Ellie in the upcoming Ice Age 6.
