After a long wait, Nintendo released the first-look trailer for the successor to their beloved Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch 2.
The first Nintendo Switch was released (in most regions) in 2017, and since then, gamers have been patiently waiting for an upgrade. The Nintendo Switch 2 will include games exclusive to the console and some backward-compatible games from its predecessor.
At a later date, the Nintendo website will share information and details about the Nintendo Switch games that may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo Switch Online members can continue using the service on Nintendo Switch 2.
More details about the Nintendo Switch 2 will be revealed during Nintendo Direct, which will highlight and offer a closer look at the device. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. The broadcast time will be shared later on social media and the Nintendo website.
In addition, Nintendo will host Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events, where consumers can go hands-on with Nintendo Switch 2 in cities around the world.
