During Agents of SHIELD’s season four Framework arc, the most asked question was would Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter be among the returning fan favorites.
Ultimately the answer was no. However, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Nick Blood will be back as Hunter in the series’ fifth season.
Hunter was a mercenary who joined the team in season two, then stuck around to reunite with ex-wife Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki). Bobbi and Hunter then disavowed themselves to protect the team in season three, as the characters were getting a spinoff pilot.
Since the pilot wasn’t picked up fans have been wondering if the duo would return to SHIELD.
As for Palicki, she is starring in the new FOX series The Orville, so any possible Bobbi return hinges on that show’s fate.
Plot details and how many episodes Blood will be in haven’t been released, but Geeks of Color will keep you updated on Agent Hunter’s return.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD returns for season five later this year on Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
