We’ve gotten our first official casting announcement for DC’s live-action series Titans.
Young Australian newcomer Teagan Croft has been chosen to play Raven. She is a powerful empath who uses her soul self to teleport, protect herself and fight. She has a demon father, Trigon, and a human mother.
Raven must keep control of her emotions for fear that her demon side might take over.
Due to her presence in the animated series Teen Titans Go, the character has gained in popularity in recent years.
Titans follows the adventures of a team of young superheroes led by Dick Grayson/Nightwing.
The series is being written by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti, which is a pretty good writer’s room.
Titans will join Young Justice as one of the original offerings on DC’s streaming service DC All Access.
Titans is expected to premiere sometime in 2018.
