Michael B. Jordan is still enjoying the success left behind by Sinners, but the actor has already found his next project. Thomas Crown Affair will be released in theaters on March 5, 2027. The Creed star will direct the remake of the story that earned two Academy Award nominations after it was released back in 1968. The release date for Thomas Crown Affair could prove to be beneficial for Jordan and Amazon MGM Studios. Sinners took over the global box office during the spring, just a few weeks before the official start of the summer movie season. The corridor could help the upcoming remake with its performance at the box office.

The original Thomas Crown Affair followed the titular character portrayed by Steve McQueen as he orchestrated a dangerous bank heist. An independent investigator sets out to find who was the mastermind behind the robbery. The story then proceeds to focus on the thrilling chase between the criminal and the man hired to stop him. It’s currently unclear if Michael B. Jordan will play Thomas Crown himself, or if he will be portraying the investigator who has to bring the crime spree to a stop. Taylor Russell will also be seen in the new version of Thomas Crown Affair.

Michael B. Jordan looks unstoppable right now. Before the acclaimed actor found a new wave of success thanks to Sinners, he was seen once again as a skilled boxer in Creed III. The actor directed the blockbuster that earned more than $276 million at the global box office, meaning that he’s more than ready to tackle a new version of Thomas Crown Affair. Michael B. Jordan is also known from his role as Erik Killmonger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Black Panther antagonist stole the spotlight with his ideology and action-packed fight sequences.
