Media personnel and fans of Marvel were treated with a special two-hour screening of Marvel’s Runaways at The Rec Room in Toronto on Wednesday night and was the number one show in Canada that evening.

The event, hosted by Showcase, featured an appearance by artist, Craig Yeung who worked with Adrian Alphona and Christina Strain on the NYCC Runaways poster (check it out below). The first two episodes of the series were shown at the private event and garnered great reviews from those in attendance.

Clearly, the same sentiments were echoed for viewers who watched the series premiere on Wednesday night at 8:00pm ET via Showcase. The special two-hour debut claimed the top spot as the number one entertainment specialty program of the night; even beating out the Toronto Raptors game.
