With the world once again excited about a new Star Trek series, one of the franchise’s most popular characters will make a return in video game form.
LeVar Burton is back in the Star Trek galaxy when he voices Geordi LaForge for the game Star Trek Online.
He will appear in two episodes of the role-playing game’s 14th season.
First on Sept. 12, Beyond the Nexus will celebrate The Next Generation’s 30th anniversary with an episode that follows “Captain LaForge and his crew as they investigate a distress call from a Galaxy class ship whose crew is being mind-controlled by a mysterious energy source.”
That is followed by an October episode that is part of the game’s update.
The Next Generation episode features purchase of the Galaxy class ship interior and giveaways that include the season one Next Gen uniforms and type 7 shuttle.
Once again the season 14 update of Star Trek Online is out in October.
