Kingsman: The Golden Circle is going stateside.
The sequel to the upcoming spy-comedy film brings back Taron Egerton and Colin Firth with new missions and a new set of characters. Among these characters is the Statesmen, the United States counterpart of the Kingsmen.
Today, Empire Online reveals exclusive images of the Statesmen, most notably Channing Tatum’s Agent Tequila in all cowboy glory. Another image is released, this time of Taron Egerton’s Eggsy looking like a proper Kingsman spy.
Other Statesmen characters include Halle Berry as Ginger, their tech guru, Pedro Pascal’s Agent Jack, and the Jeff Bridges as Statesmen Leader Agent Champagne. Kingsman’s villain, Julianne Moore’s Poppy, is described as a megalomaniacal villain and “America’s sweetheart gone wrong”
Kingsman director and writer Matthew Vaughn also mentions that Kingsman: The Golden Circle has an opportunity to “make it bigger and bolder and funnier and crazier”, not just with the larger than life American characters, but also with action sequences that made the first movie so thrilling and original.
