From the moment it was clear It was enough of a hit to warrant a sequel, fans have been casting the adult versions of the Losers’ Club.
One name that constantly comes up is Jessica Chastain as Beverly, played in the movie by Sophia Lillis. Some of the speculation comes from Lillis’ admiration of Chastain, while most of it comes from the actresses lookalike status.
Chastain discussed the possibility of being in the sequel with ScreenRant.
“Well, I love Andy and Barbara [Muschietti],” she said. “I worked with them on Andy’s directorial debut…Mama. And you know, Barbara is one of my best friends so…we’ll see. They’re like my family. Anything that they’re doing I want to be a part of, so I hope we can make it happen.”
It follows a group of kids in the small town of Derry as they fight the demonic Pennywise. The sequel would pick up 27 years later, with the adult Losers’ Club reuniting to defeat him again.
