Just a half hour after announcing Donald Glover as Simba for his live action version of The Lion King, Jon Favreau took to Twitter to announce that James Earl Jones will be returning to his iconic voice role of Mufasa. James Earl Jones is an acting legend both on and off the screen. His voice acting work is not only recognized for Lion King but as well for his dubbing as as all-time iconic villain, Darth Vader. He also has various awards for film, television, and theater shelved in his career, including a Tony Award for his portrayal in Fences, which was remade last year into a film by Denzel Washington.

This has been a requested casting since this live action adaptation was announced. What do you guys think? Does this make you more comfortable with the idea of The Lion King being remade into live action? Let us know in the comments below!
