One of the most acclaimed Star Wars stories in history has returned. The second season of Andorhas premiered on Disney+. The first three episodes of Diego Luna’s next adventure in the galaxy far, far away are now available for streaming. After more than two years of waiting, fans will get to know what happened to the intelligent spy right before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The fate of the galaxy rests on the shoulders of the man who will go from a selfish spy to a hero of the Rebel Alliance.

The second installment of the series will follow Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) before he crossed paths with Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) during the events of Rogue One. Cassian has lost the woman who raised him and his desire to stay outside of the conflict between the Rebels and the evil Empire. With nowhere else to go, the character will be forced to fight alongside the unknown heroes of the galaxy far, far away. The second season of Andor will be told through an unusual pace. Every three episodes, a time jump will send audiences to another year of Cassian’s life. The show is expected to eventually line up with Cassian’s introduction from the theatrical prequel directed by Gareth Edwards.

The cast of the second season of Andor will also include Adria Arjona and Bix Caleen, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma and Kyle Soller as Syril Karn. The new episodes of the show will mark the first live-action Star Wars adventure since the release of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew at the end of last year.

Disney continues to expand the franchise on television, before The Mandalorian & Grogu premieres on the big screen next year. The stage has been set for Cassian Andor to become the man audiences expect him to be.
