Filming is underway for the MCU’s upcoming Captain Marvel origin film which features Academy Award winning actress Brie Larson as Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel.
Newly released set photos, show Larson rocking her new uniform and there is one major change: the color scheme is notably different than Carol’s classic red and blue costume. This is because Larson is donning the original Mar-Vell suit or Kree suit.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel marks the MCU’s first film headed by a female superhero. Samuel L. Jackson will be reprising his role as Nick Fury and She’s Gotta Have It star, DeWanda Wise has also been cast in an unrevealed role.
Captain Marvel is scheduled to hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
