A new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Stepshas been released by Marvel Studios.

The release date for the highly-anticipated summer blockbuster is quickly approaching, and Disney has given audiences a new look at what promises to be a fresh start for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The trailer surprised viewers by finally revealing Julia Garner’s look as the Silver Surfer. The character is a powerful warrior who warns civilizations about Galactus’ (Ralph Ineson) arrival. The Fantastic Four have been informed about the fate that awaits their planet. It’s up to Marvel’s First Family to save everyone in time.

The cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm and Ebon-Moss Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The space explores completely alter their lives after a catastrophic accident gives them powers beyond their imagination. In the upcoming movie directed by Matt Shakman, it appears that the Fantastic Four have become celebrities due to the fact that they are the only heroes in their timeline. While The Fantastic Four: First Steps is a part of the MCU franchise, this story will take place in a world that is separate from what audiences are used to watching.

Matt Shakman was selected as the director of The Fantastic Four: First Steps after working with Marvel Studios during the development of WandaVision. The television spinoff starring Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch marked the start of a new era for the franchise. The latest iteration of the Fantastic Four was supposed to be handled by Jon Watts, the filmmaker behind the Spider-Man movies starring Tom Holland. Watts eventually stepped down, allowing Matt Shakman to bring his vision to life on the big screen. The main characters from The Fantastic Four: First Steps are also expected to return in next year’s Avengers: Doomsday.
