BET+ has renewed the series for a second season, after the first installment became a massive success for the streaming platform. Diarra Kilpatrick will return as a performer, writer, creator and executive producer on the title she has turned into a blockbuster hit.

No dates have been settled for either the production start of the new episodes or the launch of the second season of Diarra From Detroit. The series follows a divorced schoolteacher who believes she has been ghosted by a date. Her path leads her to a hidden conspiracy in Detroit’s criminal underworld. Diarra has to recruit people from different corners of her life in order to find out what happened with her date and the shady affairs he was involved with. The protagonist of this story has to constantly risk her life in a thrilling dark comedy that has managed to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
The cast of Diarra From Detroit also features Morris Chestnut as Swa Brickland, DomiNque Perry as Aja and Bryan Terrell Clark as Mr. Tea. These artists will all be returning for the next installment of Diarra’s adventures. The mystery series quickly managed to become a success shortly after it premiered on BET+. The project was only behind Tyler Perry’sSistas in viewership numbers for the platform. It’s evident that audiences can’t wait to find out what will happen to Diarra when she returns to the screen in the near future.
