The CW has added another player to the already talent-heavy cast of Black Lightning. Actress, Chantal Thuy, has been added as DC Comics character, Grace Choi.
According to Variety, Thuy will be a bartender who becomes the love interest for Anissa Pierce (Nafessa Williams). Grace is a comic book fan who encounters Anissa while she’s coming to terms with her powers, becoming Anissa’s first confidant.
In the comic books, Grace is the daughter of a Bana Amazon. Created in 2003 by Judd Winnick and Tom Raney, she first appeared as a bouncer at a meta-human nightclub in Outsiders #1.
Thuy, whose recent credits include appearances on the television shows Madam Secretary and Pretty Little Liars, will join already announced cast members: Cress Williams, Jill Scott, Marvin “Krondon” Jones III, China Anne McClain, Christine Adams, James Remar and Edwina Findley.
