Chadwick Boseman certainly knows how to handle a biopic. Previously portraying both Jackie Robinson and James Brown, Boseman is set to tackle the role of trailblazing Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall.

Marshall became the first African-American Supreme Court Justice back in 1967. Prior to that, he was the lawyer who won Brown v Board of Education trial which led to the outlawing of segregated schools.

Check out the trailer for the film below:

The film delves deeper into Marshall’s history and we are shown the attorney in his early career with the NAACP while he is defending a chauffeur named Joseph Spell (Sterling K. Brown) against an accusation of sexual assault and attempted murder by his employer, Eleanor Strubing (Kate Hudson).

Reginald Hudlin is directing the feature based on a script by Jacob and Michael Koskoff. Other cast members include Josh Gad, Keesha Sharp, Jussie Smolett, Sophia Bush, Dan Stevens and Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas.

Be sure to catch Marshall in theaters on October 13, a few days after the 50th anniversary of Marshall being sworn in as Supreme Court Justice.
