When it was announced that Floriana Lima would switch from series regular to recurring for Supergirl’s third season, fans became worried that this would signal the end for her and Alex. They were also concerned that her character wouldn’t continue to be developed.
However, it appears that may not be the case, as 24 fan favorite Carlos Bernard will guest star as Maggie’s dad.
Bernard will portray Oscar Rodas, a cop who kicked a teenage Maggie out of the house when he found out she was gay.
In the second season finale Alex proposed to Maggie, so this is likely to be an emotional family reunion.
Bernard was last seen reprising Tony Almeida in 24: Legacy.
Season three of Supergirl premieres Monday, Oct. 9 at 8 pm on The CW.
