New character posters for From the World of John Wick: Ballerinahave been released by Lionsgate.

The upcoming spinoff will follow Eve Macarro (Ana De Armas), a ballerina beginning her journey as an assassin in the Ruska Roma traditions. Audiences might be familiar with Keanu Reeves’ John Wick, but a new killer will steal the spotlight on the big screen this summer.

The plot of Ballerina will take place between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Chapter 4. This means that a familiar face will appear before meeting his demise at the end of his journey.

The character posters that were released today focus on Ana De Armas’ protagonist, as well as John Wick, Katla Park (Choi Soo-young) and more of the new faces that will turn Eve’s introduction into an unforgettable ride. Katla will be particularly special. Eve’s first mission will be to protect the young woman from any violent threat lurking in the shadows. The first trailer for Ballerina showed Winston Scott (Ian McShane) recruiting a younger version of Eve for her training. That path would eventually lead the young woman into a life of proving herself as a skilled killer, despite her size and strength.

Len Wiseman was the director selected to bring Eve’s story to life on the big screen. The John Wick movies were mostly worked on by Chad Stahelski. What the filmmaker created with Keanu Reeves’ protagonist will serve as a major inspiration for this summer’s blockbuster. Ana De Armas is no stranger to big action franchises. The actress was previously seen in No Time To Die, the final adventure that featured Daniel Craig’s James Bond. The performer has proven that she’s capable of leading major action sequences, making her the perfect choice to star in Ballerina.

Ballerina releases in theaters on June 6!
