The fourth season of the Avengers animated series will take on one of Marvel’s biggest events, Secret Wars.
Avengers: Secret Wars picks up where Avengers: Ultron Revolution left off, with Tony Stark trapped in another dimension. After the rest of the team is scattered across space and time, Black Panther assembles new Avengers.
Beginning June 2 Disney XD will show six shorts to showcase the powers of the New Avengers: Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Ant-Man, The Wasp and Vision.
“We will see Battleworld,” Marvel Animation Vice President Stephen Wacker told CBR. “Much like this season, we will see a collection of stories that at first might seem like standalone adventures that we come to realize are all related to each other. We kick off the season with a focus on our new characters, including Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Vision, Ant-Man and Wasp, and they become very important as the season goes on.”
Avengers: Secret Wars is set to debut on Disney XD Saturday, June 17 at 11:30 am ET with the two-part episode Avengers No More.
