Starz has played things close to the vest regarding its American Gods series. The cable network has kept interested fans in suspense waiting for details about characters and plot.
The silence was finally broken with a screening and cast Q&A at SXSW. Starz has followed up that excitement with a new trailer.

American Gods is based on Neil Gaiman’s story about a war between old and new Gods. It stars Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, an old God preparing an army for the coming war. The show focuses on Shadow Moon, an ex-convict who works for Wednesday, at first assuming he is a con man who just needs a bodyguard.
The highly anticipated project features a star-studded cast that includes Kristin Chenoweth, Orlando Jones, Crispin Glover, Ricky Whittle, Gillian Anderson and Cloris Leachman.
American Gods premieres Sunday, April 30 on Starz.
