Storm Reid, the lead in Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time, has joined the cast of Blumhouse Pictures’ Only You.
She will be starring opposite David Oyelowo. Oyelowo will play a policeman, and Reid will play his niece. The police officer tragically loses his family to murder. There are very few details available, but it is possible the policeman seeks out a way to time-travel to prevent the tragedy from happening, and figure out who did it. Hence the time-travel thriller log line. Only You will be directed by Jacob Estes.
Reid’s big break is A Wrinkle in Time, where she plays the lead Meg. Meg goes on a journey through space and time to find her father (Chris Pine). A Wrinke in Time will be in theatres March 9th 2018.
Blumhouse Pictures specializes in low-budget horror and thrillers, this year they have two major successes, Split and Get Out.
