Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the world premiere and press junket for Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).

During the junket, I was able to sit down with cast members Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Helena Bertinelli a.k.a. Huntress), Rosie Perez (Renee Montoya) and Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Dinah Lance a.k.a. Black Canary). The trio spoke about Smollett-Bell’s singing skills, that their characters are much more than just badass, and which characters they’d like to see the Birds of Prey interact with in the future.

Check out the full interview below:

Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and the Joker broke up and while that’s good news for Harley, it also puts a target on her back. On the run from a plethora of enemies, including dangerous crime lord, Roman Sionis a.k.a. Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) and his right-hand man, Victor Zsasz (Chris Messina), Harley ends up with an unlikely tag-along in Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) and a trio of badass women who are also looking for emancipation in Renee Montoya (Perez), Dinah Lance a.k.a. Huntress (Smollett-Bell) and Helena Bertinelli a.k.a. Huntress (Winstead).

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) hits theaters on February 7th!
