The third season of The Boys has finally arrived with the first three episodes of the new season now available to stream on Prime Video.

Of course, a new season means new storylines and new characters, and I had the chance to sit down with show creator, Eric Kripke. During our chat Kripke spoke about the casting process and why he decided to reunite with Supernatural alum, Jensen Ackles, once again. Kripke also discussed his interest in potentially doing a prequel series focused on Soldier Boy (Ackles) and his original team.

Check out the interview with Eric Kripke below:

The Boys Official Synopsis

It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into The Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first superhero: Soldier Boy.
