A tragic story like that of Lance Corporal Brian Brown-Easley requires and deserves the compassion he should’ve received. Thankfully, Breaking, a film based on his story, does just that.

Developed by acclaimed writer Kwame Kwei-Armah and up-and-coming writer/director Abi Damaris Corbin, Breaking is unlike many hostage/robbery thrillers before it. Geeks of Color spoke with Kwei-Armah and Corbin about their new film Breaking, veteran trauma, and the need for compassion in our world.
