Yesterday’s hint of a teaser has paid off; Shadow of the Tomb Raider is officially confirmed. While details about Lara’s next adventure in the rebooted series remain scarce, a 20 second teaser video is sure to get fans of the franchise excited for more. Check it out below:

Experience Lara Croft’s defining moment as she becomes the Tomb Raider. Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be revealed April 27th. Available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on September 14th, 2018. pic.twitter.com/jujMf47kJH

According to the Tomb Raider Twitter account’s caption on the clip, a reveal event arrives next month on April 27. What this forthcoming announcement entails is as much of a mystery as the game itself. However, fans should at least expect a story trailer, perhaps with gameplay, and information regarding what’s next for Lara Croft.

Especially of note is the game’s Friday, September 14 release date. Shadow of the Tomb Raider won’t be a timed Xbox exclusive like its predecessor. Instead, the series’ third entry launches worldwide on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.

This news comes on the eve of the Tomb Raider film reboot’s theatrical release, an apt time to garner hype for the beloved franchise.
