It’s officially Lunar New Year in Overwatch! The Year of the Dog event started today, and will be going until March 5, bringing with it a ton of great new skins, a new map, and plenty of emotes, sprays, and other cosmetics for your favorite heroes.
The event includes legendary skins for Mercy, Pharah, Genji, Zarya, Widowmaker, and McCree. The new map is called Ayutthaya and is set in Thailand. After the event is over, Ayutthaya will remain a playable map. Expect more than 50 pieces of cosmetic items in the event, all to be found in special Year of the Dog Lootboxes.
Blizzard released a preview of the event, and a fresh new developer update from Jeff Kaplan, showing off some of the cool things to expect out of Overwatch for the next month.
