Though its existence wasn’t a well-kept secret, Devil May Cry 5’s appearing on Xbox’s E3 stage shocked fans the world over. Even more shocking is that the game’s announcement trailer promises a release window of Spring 2019. Of course, Spring is a relatively broad term–DMC 5 could launch in mid-March or it Capcom might drop the title in early May.

Thanks to Capcom’s investor relations (via PC Gamer), the release window is a little more defined. Expect the latest DMC entry to hit store shelves by the end of next March. This is big news for Capcom. Should this release window prove true, the publisher will have released two major titles by the end of this fiscal year; remember, the Resident Evil 2 remake launches on January 25, 2019.

Currently, Devil May Cry 5 details are sparse. The director of Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4, Hideaki Itsuno, returns to the franchise with this forthcoming sequel. Aside from assuring fans that the series will return to form, all Itsuno has revealed is that there are three playable characters–Dante, Nero, and another unnamed protagonist.
