Marvel Studios Unveils The Teaser Trailer For ‘The Marvels’
The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) upcoming film The Marvels features the return of Brie Larson, who starred in the 2019 film Captain Marvel. This time around, Larson will be sharing the screen with two other female MCU stars, Teyonah Parris from WandaVision and Iman Vellani from Ms. Marvel.
The highly anticipated sequel to Carol Danvers’ origin story occurs after the events of the of the Ms. Marvel series, which also served as the introduction to Vellani’s Kamala Khan, a young, New Jersey-based superhero who goes by the name Ms. Marvel.

Before the release of the trailer for The Marvels, attendees at the 2022 D23 Expo were given an exclusive sneak peek at the film. This initial footage delves into the aftermath of the post-credits scene from Ms. Marvel, where Kamala seemingly switches places with Carol.
The teaser for The Marvels then continues with Captain Monica Rambeau (played by Teyonah Parris) working as an astronaut on the Saber Space Station, accompanied by Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson). During a jump point in the space-time continuum, Monica transforms into Ms. Marvel, confirming that she, Carol, and Kamala all possess a unique set of transformative abilities.


The official synopsis reads: Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as “The Marvels.”
Nia DaCosta, the director of the 2021 reboot of Candyman, is set to make history as the first Black woman to helm a film in the MCU. DaCosta will direct The Marvels, co-writing the screenplay alongside Megan McDonnell, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells.

Also joining the MCU is Park Seo-joon best known for his role Parasite. Saagar Shaikh, Zenoiba Shroff, and Mohan Kapur are among the confirmed cast members for the upcoming film, playing the roles of Kamala’s older brother, mother, and father. Additionally, Zawe Ashton will appear as a villain, although her specific role has not been disclosed.
