Interview: Noah Centineo Talks ‘Black Adam’, Atom Smasher’s Origin & The Justice Society of America At SDCC

San Diego Comic-Con has returned after being on break for about three years. We had the chance to attend and witness some excellent panels, including the WB one, which showed new footage of Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

During the Black Adam segment, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made an electrifying entrance to get things started and welcomed the other cast members. Joining him was the Justice Society – Aldis Hodge (Hawkman), Noah Centineo (Atom Smasher), and Quintessa Swindell (Cyclone).

Centineo plays Al Rothstein, who goes by the name Atom Smasher, a metahuman who has the ability to control his own molecular structure, allowing him to grow and shrink in size.

I spoke to Centineo about his role on the press carpet after the event. Centineo spoke about his initial excitement at being cast in the role and how much this means, and briefly spoke about his hopes for future projects in the DC universe.

Check out the interview with Noah Centineo below:

Black Adam Official Synopsis

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods — and imprisoned just as quickly — Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
