Interview: Marisa Tomei Talks ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, Playing Aunt May In This Trilogy & More
I think one of the best things about the MCU Spider-Man has been the introduction of Marisa Tomei as Aunt May! With Spider-Man: No Way Home crushing it in theaters right now, I had a chance to sit down with Tomei to discuss her role across the trilogy.
During our conversation, Tomei spoke about what it’s been like portraying Aunt May since Captain America: Civil War and about how much fun she had working with director Jon Watts. Tomei went on to speak about working with Jon Favreau and how impressed she was with his comedic timing.
Tomei also revealed that prior to her character being introduced to Happy, she thought it would be a great idea if Aunt May had a girlfriend instead. Tomei even suggested it be Sony’s very own Amy Pascal. Lastly, Tomei discussed how proud she was of Tom Holland and Zendaya, and how much they’ve done in their careers at such a young age.
