It’s been 60 years since the legendary Rita Moreno stole the show in the first film adaptation of West Side Story, and now, two new stars are paving the way for future generations — Rachel Zegler and Ariana DeBose. Zegler and DeBose shine brilliantly in the Steven Spielberg-directed remake of West Side Story as Maria and Anita, respectively.
I had the pleasure of interviewing the dynamic duo about the film and their time on set. The two spoke about the importance of opportunities and what their roles mean to them, their chemistry on set, the positive reactions to their performances, and much more!

The cast includes Rachel Zegler (Maria), Ansel Elgort (Tony), Ariana DeBose (Anita), David Alvarez (Bernardo), Mike Faist (Riff), Josh Andrés Rivera (Chino), Corey Stoll (Lieutenant Schrank), and Brian d’Arcy James (Sergeant Krupke).
