Interview: Andrew Koji Talks ‘Snake Eyes’, Joining The G.I. Joe Universe, ‘Warrior’ & More

Snake Eyes is now in theatres!

If you haven’t seen it already, now’s the time to support your local theater (safely). We sat down with some of the stars of the film including Snake Eyes himself, Henry Golding. The interview, however, is with the man who plays Storm Shadow, Andrew Koji.

Although this is Snake Eyes origin story, we also get a glimpse at how his rival Storm Shadow got his iconic name and status. Koji spoke about what it was like playing the character and what it was like preparing for the role. He also discussed building the bond with Golding so the rivalry could really show on the screen. Lastly, we spoke about the training process for this versus the training required for his show Warrior. If you haven’t watched Warrior on HBO Max, I highly recommend it!

Check out the interview with Andrew Koji below:

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.
