J.K. Simmons Has Filmed His Next Appearance as J. Jonah Jameson in the MCU

One of the best things about the Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy was definitely J.K. Simmons’ portrayal of J. Jonah Jameson. Fans who stayed for the end credits of Spider-Man: Far From Home will know Simmons surprised everyone by reprising his role as the Daily Bugle editor, which marked the first time an actor from a previous franchise has appeared as his same character in the MCU movies.

J.K. Simmons recently called in to SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show and spoke with  Jess Cagle and Julia Cunningham. During the interview, Simmons spoke about being part of the Marvel Universe and if viewers will see him again in that world as J. Jonah Jameson.

“We have, assuming that movie theaters reopen and people are back in movie theaters some time in the next…ever, and if not, I guess we’ll see it on our TVs at home,” Simmons said on The Jess Cagle Show. “There is one more JJJ appearance in the can, and from what I’m hearing, there is a plan for yet another one,” Simmons said.

Check out what he had to say below:

The biggest take away from the interview is that he has filmed one appearance already for the next Spider-Man movie, but the more interesting thing is that he is scheduled to film one more. Whether that be for another Spider-Man movie or another movie within the MCU slate has yet to be determined. Regardless, this is some exciting news.
