Interview: Jason Isaacs Talks ‘SCOOB!’, His Love For ‘The OA’ and More

Scooby-Do and the gang are back! In the first full-length animated Scooby-Doo adventure for the big screen, SCOOB! follows the never-before-told story of Scooby-Doo’s origins and puts them on the greatest mystery in the career of Mystery Inc.

SCOOB! was originally slated to hit theaters but due to the current pandemic, Warner Bros. decided to allow fans to buy it on VOD instead. To celebrate the movie’s release, I had the chance to sit down for a virtual chat with Jason Isaacs who voices Dick Dastardly in the film.

During our conversation, Isaacs spoke about what it was like joining such an iconic franchise, the differences between voicing this character versus his other voice roles, and we briefly chat about how The OA deserves to get a final season!

Check out the interview below and peep our review of the film here:

SCOOB! reveals how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc. Now, with hundreds of cases solved and adventures shared, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this global “dogpocalypse,” the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.
