Netflix Debuts the Badass Trailer for ‘The Old Guard’ Starring Charlize Theron & KiKi Layne
Netflix continues to come in clutch when it comes to consistently pumping out new content to keep us entertained during these strange times.
Today, they released the first trailer for the upcoming film The Old Guard, which is a live-action adaption of the graphic novel by the same now from Greg Rucka. The story is about a group of mercenaries, all centuries-old immortals with the ability to heal themselves, discover that someone is onto their secret, and they must fight to protect their freedom.
The film is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood who isn’t a stranger to adapting material from her past work on Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, with the screenplay was written by Rucka. Live-action adaptions can be tricky, but when the original creators are involved the project tends to be in good hands.
The star-studded cast includes Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Harry Melling, Van Veronica Ngo, with Matthias Schoenaerts and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Official Synopsis
Led by a warrior named Andy (Charlize Theron), a covert group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die have fought to protect the mortal world for centuries.
