Temuera Morrison to Play Boba Fett in Season 2 of ‘The Mandalorian’
The Mandalorian fans rejoice!
Although season 2 of The Mandalorian has wrapped filming, news and details about the series continue to be revealed. It was announced earlier today that Temuera Morrison will be returning to the beloved Star Wars franchise to play Boba Fett in The Mandalorian‘s highly anticipated second season.
If this name sounds familiar to you, it’s because Morrison played Jango Fett (Boba’s father) in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (2002). Morrison has also voiced both Jango and Boba Fett in various Star Wars video games over the years. Morrison has played various fatherly roles since Jango Fett, including Arthur’s father, Tom Curry, in Aquaman and voicing Chief Tui, in Moana.
Since the debut of Disney+ last year, The Mandalorian has received praise from Star Wars fans old and young. The Boba Fett character was teased in the end of the first season’s “The Gunslinger” episode, and many have been waiting for his official return.
Although Star Wars is on a slight hiatus when it comes to the films, that hasn’t stopped the news from rolling in. Earlier this week, it was announced that Thor: Ragnarok and What We Do in the Shadows director Taika Waititi will be tackling his own Star Wars film that will hit the big screen.
Currently, season 2 of The Mandalorian is set to come out in October of this year. It’s unclear if this date will change due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we will be sure to update you with any other news as it comes in.
You can watch the first season of The Mandalorian right now exclusively on Disney+.
