Earlier this year Fox canceled Brooklyn Nine-Nine much to the dismay of the shows many fans. Luckily, NBC pulled a John McClain and saved Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Fans like myself are ecstatic and cannot wait for the show to return. However, the news of the show’s revival was met with some sad news, Chelsea Peretti will no longer be apart of the show. It was difficult to do anything knowing that we would have to say goodbye to Gina.

If you aren’t familiar with the show the synopsis is as follows:

Detective JAKE PERALTA (Samberg) is a good enough cop that he’s never had to work that hard or follow the rules too closely…That is until the precinct gets a new commanding officer, Captain RAY HOLT (Braugher), who reminds this hotshot cop to respect the badge.

At a press event, Peretti spoke about her departure for the first time and how it will be a two-episode arc that doesn’t include Gina dying. Let’s be real, Gina is immortal.

Melissa Fumero’s directorial debut in season 6, the energy on-set after the revival, what character’s they would enjoy playing on the show, and more.
