‘Borderlands 2’ Will Be Made Playable on PlayStation VR
For all of you Borderlands fans who have been wanting to physically inject yourself into the game, have we got good news for you.
The game’s parent companies 2K and Gearbox Software have plans to re-release the game as this December as Borderlands 2 VR. The Re-release will include the original campaign from the game as well as its four playable Vault Hunters, however, the re-release will be single-player only. The VR version will also include new VR specific tricks such as Bad Ass Mega Fun Time (BAMF Time), which will allow players to slow the game’s speed to give them more time to plan attacks. Gamers will also be able to teleport around the map, a common skill found in most VR versions of first-person shooter games.
“With the use of the motion controllers and headset, players can interact with the menu systems in a new and intuitive way for the platform, easily navigating through the menus by pointing, clicking, dragging and dropping,” Said publisher 2K said in a recent press release. Gamers will also have the option to drive Borderlands 2’s vehicles while in VR. The VR game will also support Sony’s PlayStation Move motion controllers and will be expected to cost around $49.99.
