Diego Boneta Joins Milla Jovovich in ‘Monster Hunter’
Diego Boneta (Luis Miguel) has joined the cast of Paul W.S. Anderson’s latest video game adaptation, Monster Hunter.
Boneta made his feature debut in the star-studded musical Rock of Ages and recently starred as iconic Latin singer, Luis Miguel, for Netflix’s Spanish-language biopic series.

The Mexican musician and actor will join Milla Jovovich, Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy), Tony Jaa (Triple Threat), and T.I. (Ant-Man and The Wasp) in the adaptation where Boneta will play a member of Artemis’ team, a communications specialist.
“The movie’s plot centers on the leader of a UN military team named Artemis, played by Jovovich, who is transported to another realm populated by monsters. There she meets the Hunter (Jaa), with the two teaming up to close a portal to prevent monsters from attacking Earth.”
Anderson will direct from his own script and will produce with Jeremy Bolt and Robert Kulzer for Screen Gems. Screen Gems produced the Resident Evil series and are on board for adapting the Capcom video game, which will potentially be a series.
A release date for Monster Hunter has not yet been set. However, production will soon begin in South Africa soon.
