‘Night School’ Topped Domestic Box Office With $28M
Night School starring Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart has topped the domestic box office with $28 million. This total comes from an accumulation of 3,010 locations.
The comedy “follows a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult classes in the longshot chance they’ll pass the GED exam” and also stars Rob Riggle, Taran Killam and Romany Malco.
Night School sees Haddish reunite with Girls Trip director Malcolm D.Lee, while Hart reunited with producer Will Packer whom he partnered with for Ride Along and Think Like a Man.

Haddish is set to star in The Oath alongside Ike Barinholtz as well as Tyler Perry’s Nobody’s Fool which stars Whoopi Goldberg and Tika Sumpter both which are set to release later this year.
Rounding out this weekend’s top five grossing films:
- Night School ($28 million)
- Smallfoot ($23 million)
- The House With a Clock in Its Walls ($12.5 million in its second weekend)
- A Simple Favor ($6.5 million in its second weekend)
- The Nun ($5.4 million; domestic total of $109 million)
