Djimon Hounsou to Play One of the Bosleys in Sony’s ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Reboot

Actor Djimon Hounsou is set to join Sony’s Charlie’s Angels reboot.

Hounsou is set to portray one of the film’s multiple Bosleys a role which was portrayed by Bill Murray in the 2000 film and later by Bernie Mac in the sequel Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. 

Hounsou joins Kirsten Stewart, Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska, Elizabeth Banks and Patrick Stewart who were previously announced to join the cast. The Charlie’s Angels franchise began when the first episode aired on television back in 1976. The popular television series as adapted into two films, starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.

With Banks set to sit in the director’s chair, the reboot will see the Townsend Agency now an international entity providing “security and intelligence services” worldwide, with the film honing in on one of the highly trained teams, the Angels portrayed by Stewart, Scott, and Balinska.

Hounsou is known for critically acclaimed roles in films such as Amistad, Gladiator and Blood Diamond. The actor is set to have a super-human year appearing in the highly anticipated Worlds of DC films, Shazam! and Aquaman.
