‘The Hate U Give’ Release Date Moved Up to October 5
Courtesy of Fox 2000, The Hate U Give, a film adaptation of the Angie Thomas novel of the same name, has been moved up by two weeks, Deadline has confirmed.
Instead of the release date being October 19, fans can now see the adaptation starting October 5 — with a worldwide release date of October 19.

With this move, The Hate U Give will now face box office competition from A Star is Born which stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, as well as Venom which stars Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed and Michelle Williams.
The Hate U Give stars Amandla Stenberg as Starr Carter who is drawn to activism once she witnesses the shooting of a childhood friend. The cast also includes Russell Hornsby, Regina Hall, Issa Rae, Anthony Mackie, Common and Riverdale‘s KJ Apa.
