Rebecca Ferguson Reportedly in Talks for ‘Dune’ Adaptation

If you loved Rebecca Ferguson in Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation and want to see more of her, then you just might be in luck. The actress is rumored to be in negotiations to star in the live adaption of Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel, Dune as Lady Jessica.

For those who haven’t read the Dune, it’s set in a sci-fi future and tells the story of a royal family’s attempt to reign over desert planet Arrakis and it’s coveted spice export, the most important and valuable substance in the universe, melange.

Already attached to the project is Timothee Chalamet, who is set to play Lady Jessica’s son, Paul Atreides.

The script will be written by Jon Spaihts, Eric Roth and Villeneuve and it will be produced by Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert. The film is also set to be directed by Denis Villeneuve.
