Eva Longoria Cast in Live-Action ‘Dora the Explorer’ as Dora’s Mother

Eva Longoria joins the cast of Paramount’s live-action Dora the Explorer, as Dora’s mother.

Isabela Moner (Transformers: The Last Night, Sicario: Day of the Soldado) is starring as teenaged Dora.

The movie will center on Dora as a teenager moving to the city and dealing with high school. She finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), and a rag-tag group of teens on a Goonies-esque adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.

Other cast members include; Micke Moreno (Diego), Adriana Barraza (Abuelita Valerie),  Eugenio Derbez (Alejandro Gutierrez), and Temuera Morrison (Powell).

James Bobin (Alice Through The Looking Glass) is helming the adaptation, and Kristin Burr (Christopher Robin) is producing. Paramount Players, Nickelodeon, and Walden Media are involved with the making of the live-action adaptation of the popular Nicklodeon kids show.

Filming has commenced in Australia and Paramount will release Dora the Explorer on August 2, 2019.
