Dark Souls: Remastered Arriving on Nintendo Switch This October

The Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls: Remastered was initially slated to launch on May 24, alongside the game’s PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One release. However, publisher Bandai Namco delayed the title, announcing that it would launch during the summer instead. Of course, it’s missed this window, but the wait to take Dark Souls on the go is nearing an end. Dark Souls: Remastered hits the Switch this fall on October 19.

With regards to integrating Dark Souls‘ online components, Bandai Namco reportedly has plans to run tests for the Switch version. Unfortunately, the publisher has yet to divulge what these plans entail.

As for the Solaire of Astora amiibo that was announced earlier this year, it still shares a release date with the Switch version of the game. In putting this amiibo to use, players gain access to the famed “Praise the Sun” gesture.
