Jimmy Wong and Doua Moua Join Cast of Disney’s Live-Action ‘Mulan’

Disney’s live-action Mulan expands its cast with the inclusion of stars Jimmy Wong (Video Game High School) and Doua Moua (Gran Torino). The two are set to star in the film as Ling and Po respectively. Wong and Moua join cast members Jet Li, Gong Li, Donnie Yen, Yoson An, and Liu Yifei who stars as Mulan.

Directed by Niki Caro the live-action film is an adaptation of the popular 1998 animated film of the same name, which starred characters voiced by Ming-Na Wen, Miguel Ferrer, B.D. Wong and Eddie Murphy.

Written for the screen by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek, the film is set to tell the story of a legendary Chinese warrior who joins the military after taking the place of her ailing father and “masquerades as a man to fight Northern invaders attacking China.”
With production underway, the project is will be produced by Chris Bender, Jason Reed and Jake Weiner, with Barrie M. Osborne (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King), Bill Kong (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Tim Coddington (Crazy Rich Asians) serving as executive producers.
