It’s no secret that Henry Cavill is a big gamer – he famously ignored Zack Snyder’s call about Man Of Steel because he was busy playing World of Warcraft – and that he especially loves spending his free time playing video games, so in a recent press junket for his latest movie, Mission Impossible FalloutIGN asked him what he was busy with this days.

The Witcher 3. I just replayed all the way through. Love that game. Really good game.”

At that, the interviewer asked him if he’d be interested in playing Geralt in Netflix’ adaptation of the game, announced back in May 2017, to which Henry answered excitedly that would be “an amazing role.”

“Absolutely. Yeah, that would be an amazing role.”

The game is an adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s series of eight fantasy novels, novels Henry Cavill has also read and is a fan as well.

“The books are amazing. The books are really, really good… The books I started reading, and they are well worth a read.”

For the upcoming series, who has yet to announce a release date or any other news at all, Netflix appointed showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich (West Wing, Daredevil, and The Defenders), with writers from Netflix’s Jessica Jones and Amazon’s The Tick.

And as for Cavill, having finished up the press tour for MI Fallout, he might be available for a call, if he’s not to busy playing again.
