Doom Patrol will take place after the events of Titans and will follow a group of outcast superheroes; Elasti-Woman, Crazy Jane, Negative Man, and Robotman, led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder.

Led by the mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder they’re called into action by the ultimate hero for the digital age, Cyborg. Banding together these rejects find themselves on a mission that will take them to the weirdest and most unexpected corners of the DC universe.

Guerrero is most notable for her role as Maritza Ramos in Netflix’s Orange is the New Black. Guerrero will not be starring in season 6 because her character was amongst those transferred to other prisons. However, a return is possible because of the show’s habit of checking on other characters. She also had a recurring role on Jane the Virgin as Lina Santillan and starred on the short-lived CBS sitcom, Superior Donuts. This latest role will be Guerrero’s first foray into the superhero world.
Crazy Jane was created by Grant Morrison and Richard Case. She was introduced in Doom Patrol Vol. 2 #19 in 1989. Crazy Jane suffers from a severe case multiple personality disorder which was exasperated by exposure to an alien device known as the Gene Bomb, which affected metahumans. Each of her 64 personalities gains a different power, which makes her one of the most powerful and unstable members of the Doom Patrol.
Doom Patrol received a 13-episode straight-to-series order in May, and production will begin soon for a 2019 premiere. It will be a follow-up series to Titans which is slated to premiere later this year.
