The sophomore season of Netflix’s Castlevania adaptation will arrive just in time for Halloween. To tease all that’s ahead, the following trailer has been released online:

Castlevania’s executive producer Adi Shankar initially posted the trailer to his Facebook page. Accompanying the video is brief post that tells of Shankar and his team’s aim to develop the “greatest videogame adaptation of all time.” If the first run of the series offers anything to go by, they are indeed well on their way to succeeding at creating something remarkably special.

Thankfully, this season is already improving upon the first run by doubling the number of episodes. As opposed to the first run’s four episodes, Season 2 is lengthier with eight episodes incoming.

The season’s synopsis teases what’s to come as Dracula builds an army of his kind to extinguish humans from the planet:

Returning to Netflix for a second season, Castlevania, inspired by the classic videogame series, is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes himself. Trevor Belmont, last survivor of his house, is no longer alone, and he and his misfit comrades race to find a way to save humanity from extinction at the hands of the grief-maddened Dracula and his sinister vampire war council.

Castlevania Season 2 begins streaming this fall on October 26.
